Wow, the last journal I wrote was a few months ago... so here is a little update... I haven't vanished or anything like that.... I've just been busy with school mostly...
It's been two weeks since the end of semester and now I'm two weeks away from midterms, wow time sure does fly...

The new semester has been treating me ok I suppose. On one hand I've had rearrange my schedule( because I failed to get to required grade for one of my prereq courses, got a c when I needed a c+, so close yet so far), from having to go to school 3 days a week to 5 days a week... as a commuter... that is not fun... having to commute a 2 hour round trip for a 1 hour course...

On the plus side, I've been working on a theatre production of Midsummer Night's Dream at my university. I've missed working  on a theatre production for so long. To be honest, working backstage has  been where some of my fondest memories were formed. Although the work I'm doing on this production is very different from the work I've been doing in the past, I'm rather excited.I am part of a the special effects team, aka the Dream Team. We create interactive projected visual effects, that the actors can interact with on stage. For those of you familiar with Midsummer, all the magic is interactive and computer generated. This project has definitely, pushed me and made me grow as computer programmer, and made me appreciate my major better.   In a few weeks we will be going into rehearsals, and in 2 months we will be preforming live. If any of you are nearby Toronto in March, please feel free and check it out. More details to come....

On a final note, I noticed I haven't done anything special for my watchers here in a while.... so sorry... I really do appreciate you all...

4. also, I've began reading more, finishing usually a book a day... so proud of myself... since before I hadn't finished a book in since the last harry potter came out.( excluding the books they make you read in school)

6. Been super busy lately... haven't had the chance to get on here... but its all for a good reason, 2 months away from opening day of the theatre production im working on.... more news on that later...

Well the school year has begun( well ok it started a week ago but still...). Well its my second year of my program.  Excited? I was.... now not so much...
This year my entire course load is either math or computer programming....  which is depressing since I'm in the faculty of arts... lol.... weird right...
and i thought my first year was bad(course wise)... we don't even get to do any video editing or photo editing this year
well im a digital media major, which is a joint program between arts and computer sciences... so i  expected the computer science, but not this much.... I miss Photoshop already!!!

Well I just have to survive this year and then its on to third year where I'll get to do some awesome stuff... make apps, use kinect technology, make robots, and some other stuff...

So how was your first few days at school?

Now I have a question for you guys.
I've been contemplating if I should make a new DA account, as i want to refine my gallery, or should i keep my account, and just move items to scrap?

Well I know for sure that i'm going to be making a new youtube channel dedicated to tutorials of photoshop and some other cool stuff...
I know what you're thinking... sounds like the a hundred other channels out there.... well yes and no...
i am going to try to put a unique spin on these vids, i don't want to give too much away just yet....
Any suggestions on a youtube channel name? do you guys have youtube channels?

One more note.... Im going to get my laptop fixed in about a week so expect new stuff from me and the launch of my new youtube channel...

I've been doing some what ok i guess... I've been freelancing most of the summer, while looking for a more stable source of income, but to no avail... Well im finally free to make something... but....

I have some bad news... Don't been expecting alot of art from me in awhile, at least digital art... as my laptop is broken... ok let me rephrase that better... its on the verge of breaking... Its hard drive is about to fail... NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!  As of this moment I lack the funds to get it repaired... and with school time approaching... i don't know....

A teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stamp on it and really mess it up but do not rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty is was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bully's another child, they may say they're sorry but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Pass it on or better yet, if you're a parent or a teacher, do it with your child/children.

We had to visualize data using a software called processing... which is great....
its great if for the last 3 months you been looking at java code....
Processing makes java fun... lol

Depressing that so many had to fight and lose their lives when now people forget their sacrifices and start a whole new war, flowers that fall from the heavens that no longer love their children for the field they had once lived now burns with their ignorance and hate,

Love is singed and now they fight for nothing more then blood to be shed, and so I ask you when will this madness end? In our life time or theirs?, if they kill us who will teach them?, or will they teach each other?

One can only hope that it is soon they find peace, and that their war will end with minimal death, but that is also wishful thinking, for you must know war to know true peace, but you don't need to see death to be grateful for life, Keep looking forward.

So well you all know that university has been draining the life out of me... sorry for not making anything recent....
Well the term is almost over, then its winter break yay!! Christmas yay, and New Years and New Year's Eve and oh the Sanctuary Marathon yay!!!
Anyway I will pretty much be free after this week till Jan. 9th so ya expect some new stuff from me. A lot more experimental stuff, different mediums, since I still got to finish my art portfolio( only 3/12 pieces done).

Anyway I'll be taking requests since I have the time, and its the season of giving.

Today not the greatest of all days, well this week not the greatest of all weeks. Sorry for complaining to all of you. University is killing me.  I'm usually a happy go lucky kind of person , but i've had like 2 hours of sleep a day, maybe less so I am a tad cranky.  I AM SOOO SWAMPED WITH WORK!! Its not even funny.  AND to top it all off my laptop just won't start up, now of all days, not fun. Lost all my work, everything, THAT includes 8 major assignments. So I apologize in advance if I don't respond or anything. I am not ignoring you, just trying to get my life organized.

Operation: 4ever Young  is a surprise birthday event for the Jonathon Young.

The plan is well... that's for us fans to decide.The goal is to give him a collective gift from all his fans on his birthday, May 8th. He will be turning 38.  

This is just a idea I had. He will be preforming in a play  in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, starting on May 11th. ( just found out that J-yo moved to toronto, that makes me sooo happy) So this would be a belated gift from his fans all over the world.

The gift(s) could be:
-a collection of short video messages from his fans( maybe even some from the sanctuary cast) and compile it onto a DVD
-A photo album of pictures from/of his fans
-artwork from fans????( got to remember about shipping/storage/space)
-a video tribute

The fans who are in the area could meet up and deliver the gift before the show.  Perhaps even bring cake? And yes I haven't forgotten those who aren't able to come, the entire experience would be recorded.

Now there are  a lot of wrinkles in this plan that need to be ironed out:

- How to collect the videos and photos?
-When to deliver it? ( would have to talk to the theatre about that)
           -We might not be able to give the gift in person.
- we need inside information!!! (Got to talk to the electric company)
            - is it possible to give him the gift on his birthday?
                  - what kind of cake does he like?
- Who is going to deliver it? and how are we meeting up?
-cost?!
- and much much more.....

Now we have 5 months of prep. time. So right now I am looking for people to work along side with me and be the moderators of the event. Also am looking for someone to help me manage the site.  One more thing I am looking for a logo for the event any one want to take a shot at it? There are alot of details that need to be worked out. Once those details are worked out, the operation will start taking gift submissions. If you are interested please send me a note on deviantart or at the event's official website, oh and please do spread the word.
